Hip-Hop became people in the early nineties with the arrival of MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice. By 1992, gangsta rap, a which came out of hip-hop, was a main rival of rock, with stars like Dr. Dre, Tupac, Notorious B.I.G and Snoop Dog, who all had Club 27 like status. Their was this big west coast-east coast rivalry, mainly notorious B.I.G vs Tupac or 2pac. It all started when a small East Coast rapper made a song called F*** Compton, a diss aim at most big 1980s rapper N.W.A.. N.W.A. never said it was their problem, but snoop dog  would respond on Dr. Dre track, F*** wit Dre day. Dr. Dre and snoop records two more albums, that both went triple platinum, and start the success of Death Row records, Tupac's brand. It seemed it was all over, But then Puff Daddy, Notorious B.I.g ( also called Biggie Smalls) remade Bad Boys Records, Biggie Smalls brand. Suge Knight, CEO of Death row records bad a backhanded slap at Puffy Daddy, saying "if he wants to be a star, he doesn't have to be in all the videos" maiming Duffy Daddy's ways of starring in others videos. This drew many boos from the crowd. Later, in the East Coast, when West Coast rapper Snoop Dog received boos from the crowd , he famously said" the East Coast got the Love from Snoop Dog anymore!? Then, tensions became worse when during a Bash, when Suge Knights friend was fatally shot outside. He accused Puffy Daddy, also at the bash, for being involved. Later that year, 2pac signed with death row records, and became part of the feud.  Then, Death Row act Dogg pound made a music video that saw them knocking over New York buildings. Many east coast people took offense, and with a Mobb Deep music video aim at the Dogg pound, which sees them kidnapping members of the Dogg pound and throwing them of the Queensborough bridge. Also during this time, the two biggest rappers Biggie smalls and Tupac were fighting. Tupac had many songs and slants aimed at Biggie, and though he never directly responded, the Media followed it very closely. 2puc also went to insult others like the rapper Nas, who became very angry, and then joined Biggie Smalls side. But some on 2pacs side weren't very happy. Dr. Dre would not talk to Tupac, and after Nas was insults, published a song with him. Though Snoop Dog was a part of the Feud at the start, he was insulted by Tupac after saying he liked Notorious style and music. He and 2pac stopped talking after a while. Rapper Jay-Z became a part when Biggie said in on of his songs" if faith had twins they would probably be Tupac's, get it... Two... Packs, alleging that his wife was cheating on him. he took offense, and then went on to insult Jay, but an Death row Records rapper told him to stop, Though he still mentioned him in his song Bombs. At the should train awards, Bad Boyz and Death Row found each other in the parking lot, and guns were drawn. Although it only amounted to an armed standoff, people became award it was becoming dangerous. But things were done during that, and Nas agreed not to insult Tupac if he didn't Insult Nas. Though Nas kept his part, Tupac was murdered before he could do his part.  Then on September 7, 1996,  Tupac was shot 4 times and died six days later. Then 6 months later, Biggie Smalls was murdered on March 9, 1997, mirroring Tupac's death. Both Murders remained totally unsolved.
